	Formatting a Memory Stick
User	Memory SticksTM are formatted for immediate use when you purchase them. If you need to reformat a
Notebook	Memory Stick , use the Memory Stick Formatter software provided with your notebook. For more details
	about using Memory Stick Formatter, refer to the help files.
	To format a Memory StickTM, proceed as follows:
Sony	1 Insert the Memory StickTM into the notebook. See Inserting a Memory StickTM.
	2 Click the Start button, point to Programs, click Memory Stick Utility and then click Memory Stick
	Formatter.
	3 Click Start Formatter.
	Memory Stick Formatter starts.
	￿ It is not possible to format a Memory StickTM with Memory Stick Formatter when OpenMG JukeBox is active in the taskbar.

! If you format a Memory Stick that already contains data, all the data (including music data) will be erased. Confirm that the Memory Stick does not contain files that you want to keep
