	To achieve optimum performance when playing DVD-ROMdisks, you should follow the following
User	recommendations.
	￿	You can play DVDs using the WinDVD software. See the help files in the WinDVD software for details.
Notebook
	￿	Close any open application before playing a DVD-ROM movie.
	￿	When playing DVD movies on battery power, set the power management profile to DVD. With other
Sony		profiles, the movies can be choppy.
	￿	If the virus checker is active, you need to disable it.
	￿	Do not switch the power saving modes while playing DVD video.
	￿	Do not use resident disk utilities and resident utilities to speed up access to disks because they may cause
		unstable operation.
	￿	Make sure that the screensaver is deactivated.
	￿	Depending on the display setup properties you selected, you may use <Fn> + <F> command to expand
		the screen to full screen size.
	￿	Region codes indicators are labeled on the DVD disks to indicate in which region and what type of player
		can play the disk. Unless a '2' or 'all' is labeled on your DVD disk or on the packaging, you cannot play
		the disk on this player.
	￿	Do not try to change the region code settings of the DVD-ROM drive. Trouble caused by changing the
		region code settings of the DVD-ROM drive are not covered by the warranty.
	￿ Some DVD videos may allow limited operations or functions, or present sound noise or dropped frames.

Using the CD-RW/DVD-ROM functions on the docking station

To listen to audio CDs or to use the recovery CDs, you can use a CD-ROM drive, a CD-RW drive or a DVD-ROM drive.

To play DVDs, you have to use a DVD-ROM drive.

To burn CDs, you have to use a CD-RW drive and you can use CD-RW or CD-R disks.
