4Unscrew the six screws at the bottom of your computer.
Use a precision Phillips screwdriver that matches the size of the screw heads.
5Slide the LCD lock lever and lift the cover.
6Raise the palmrest towards you, turn it over, and then set it gently on the keyboard.
7Before you remove the memory module , touch a metal part of the computer to discharge any static electricity accumulated on your body.
8Remove the memory module:
Carefully press down on the release tabs on either end of the memory module at the same time (1). | |
Pull out the memory module in the direction of the arrow (2). |
9Return the palmrest to its original position by aligning it with the notch on the keyboard and then setting it on the keyboard. Handle the palmrest gently to avoid breaking the attached cable.
10Close the display panel panel and replace the six screws on the bottom of the computer.
11Use the Phillips (+) screwdriver to tighten all six screws.
Adding a memory module
To add a memory module, proceed as follows:
1Shut down your computer and disconnect all peripheral devices.
