Selecting display modes

This desktop uses the nVIDIA GeForce2 Ti video controller. You can select which display is used when the computer is connected to an external display.

Make sure your desktop is shut down before you connect the external display to your desktop. If you connect the external display when your desktop is active, you will not be able to select an external display.

To select a display, proceed as follows:

1Click the Start button, and then click Control Panel. The Control Panel appears.

2Double-click Display.

The Display Properties dialog box appears.

3Click the Settings tab.

4Click the Advanced button.

The GeForce2Ti Properties dialog box appears.

5Click the Monitor tab.

6Click the Change button.

The Select Device window appears.

7Select the manufacturer and the model of the external display.

8Click Finish.

The GeForce2Ti Properties dialog box appears again.

9Click the Monitor tab.

10Click the Change button.

The Update Device Driver Wizard appears.11Select the Automatic search for a better driver (recommended) option button.

12Click Next.
