Getting Started
Preparing the Unit\
1Connect the AC power cord to
the AC adaptor.
2Plug the connector of the AC
adaptor into the DC IN terminal
on the unit.
3Plug the AC power cord to a
wall outlet (the mains).
Note
Depending on the unit temperature, you may be
unable to use the unit or the power may turn off
automatically to protect the unit. If temperature is
too high, leave the power off and wait until the unit
temperature goes down. If you turn on the power
without letting the unit cool sufficiently, the power
may turn off again or you may be unable to operate
the unit.
The built-in battery allows you to use this unit
without connecting the AC power cord.
1Connect the unit to an AC
power source.
2Set the OPERATE ON/OFF
switch to ON to start charging.
Charging time depends on what mode the
unit is in. Refer to “Charging time:”
(page39).
Notes
•When the OPERATE ON/OFF switch to OFF, the
built-in battery is not charged even if the un it is
connected to an AC power source.
•If you charge the unit after it has not been used for
a long time, you may be unable to charge it to the
proper capacity the first time. This is due to the
battery characteristics, and is not a malfunction.
Charge the unit again.
