Playback in S-VHS ET Format

This VCR is equipped with S-VHS ET format, so that when you play back a tape, the VCR automatically detects the S-VHS ET format and gives you a high quality picture.

You can set to activate this function on the GENERAL SET menu.

4 Press MENU V to move the flashing to the setting of PB S-VHS.

5 Set to AUTO or OFF by pressing MENU + or –. AUTO: the VCR automatically detects S-VHS ET

format and plays back the tape (normally set to this mode).

OFF: the VCR plays back tape using VHS format. When a tape recorded using VHS format is played back, if the picture becomes noisy, set PB S-VHS to OFF.

Note

When the tape is ejected, the setting returns to AUTO.

6 Press SEARCH/AUDIO ON to return to the normal display.

To return to the MAIN MENU screen from the current menu

Press MENU again.

To go to the next menu from the current menu Press MENU V until “NEXT PUSH B” flashes and press MENU B.
