Connecting peripheral devices
To attach your computer to the port replicator, proceed as follows:
1Disconnect all peripherals from the computer.
2Plug the power cord (1) into the AC adapter and an AC outlet.
3Plug the cable attached to the AC adapter (2) into the DC In port (3) on the port replicator (4).
4Remove the cover from the port replicator connector on the bottom of your computer.

Your computer comes with the cover attached to the port replicator connector. When you remove the cover to use the port replicator, make sure to keep the cover at hand.
