Windows Vista® Network Projector

Symptom Cause and Remedy
On your computer,
“Connect to a Network
Projector” cannot be
found.
• The operating system of your computer does not support “Connect
to a Network Projector.”
cCheck the operating system that supports “Connect to a
Network Projector.” (page6)
The projector cannot be
detected.
• The projector is not turned on.
cTurn on the projector.
• The projector and computer are not connected over a network.
cConnect the projector and a computer via a network (page 11).
• Communications with the application may be blocked depe nding
on antivirus software you are using.
cChange the setting so as to authorize the Windows service.
If you change the settings of the antivirus software, the computer may be
suffered by a virus attack.
• Windows Vista® Network Projector feature in the projector is not
running.
cStart Windows Vista® Network Projector (page 24).
• The network segment (subnet) set on the computer is different
from that for the projector.
cSpecify the IP address of the projector.
Moving images such as
animation effects created
with PowerPoint and
moving-image files are not
displayed properly.
cThe Windows Vista® Network Projector feature is not suitable
for reproduction of moving images, as the update interval of the
image reproduction on the projector is longer than that on the
computer.
The program is shut down
in progress.
• The network has been disconnected.
cCheck the network connection. If disconnected, try to connect to
a network again.
The computer cannot
establish access to the
projector.
• The projector is connected to a different computer.
cDisconnect the connected computer then connect your computer
to the projector.
• The projector is connected to a computer with a higher res olution
than that of the projector.
cSet the connected computer to a lower resolution than that of the
projector.
cIf your computer’s OS is Windows Vista Service Pack 1 or later
version installed, a dialog box is displayed, from which you can
execute conversion to a resolution lower than that of the
projector.
The resolution of the
projected image is
changed.
cIt is a restriction on the Windows Vista® Network Projector
feature.
