Listening to music of a USB device
You can connect an optional USB device to the (USB) port on the unit and listen to music stored in the USB device. For details on the USB device that can be connected to this unit, see “USB devices supported by this unit” (page 71).
The audio formats that can be played back by this unit are MP3*, WMA* and AAC*.
*Tracks with copyright protection (Digital Rights Management) cannot be played by this unit.
Tracks downloaded from Internet websites (including online music stores) may not be played by this unit.

1 Connect an optional USB device to the (USB) port on the unit.
When USB cable connection is necessary, connect the USB cable supplied with the USB device to be connected.
Refer to the operation manual of the USB device for details on the operation. When the USB device is connected, “Reading” appears, followed by the volume label.
Note
It may take about 10 seconds before “Reading” appears depending on the type of USB device connected.
2 Press USBto start playback.
