Installing ICH5R during OS Installation

Install driver during Windows XP installation

1.Set the folder options to “show hidden files and folders”, check Microsoft help for more info on how to set this option.

2.Go to “d:\drivers\Intel_iaa\floppy” directory, (assuming that your CD-ROM is drive d) copy all the files to a floppy disk.

3.Windows XP will start to inspect your hardware configuration

4.Press “F6” when the message “Press F6 if you need to install a third party SCSI or RAID driver….” Appear. Below the screen

5.Press S key to specify additional devices when the Windows XP Setup window appears.

6.Insert the floppy disk of driver, then press Enter to continue

7.In the follow-on window of device type, please select “Intel ® 82801ER SATA RAID Controller” to continue installation

8.The follow-on interface will list the devices to be installed, in which “Intel ® 82801ER SATA RAID Controller” item should be included. (If users want to install other devices, press “S” at this time.) Press ENTER to continue Windows XP setup.

Installing Driver on an Existing System

For windows XP

1.Place the driver CD into the CD-ROM drive

2.Choose the model P4I875P DRAGON 2 V1.0

3.Highlight the “Intel Application Accelerator RAID Edition for Win XP” and then click install

Note: RAID 0 can only work under Windows XP, other operating system is not supported.
