Changing theTextGreeting

The text greeting can be up to sixteen characters and is displayed on your phone’s screen in standby mode. You may choose to keep the phone’s default greeting

(“Sprint PCS”), or you may enter your own custom greeting.

Todisplayorchangeyourgreeting:

1.Press Menu (left softkey) to access the main menu.

2.Select Settings ( 9 ).

Scroll to Display and press

OK .

4.

Scroll to Greeting and press

OK .

5.

Select Custom using the navigation key and press OK .

6.Usethenumerickeypadtoenteranewcustomgreeting. (See “EnteringText”on page 34.) (To erase the existing

greeting one character ata time, press BACK .To erase the entire greeting, press and hold BACK .)

7.Highlight Saveandpress OK tosaveyournewgreeting.

Changing the BacklightTime Length

The backlight setting lets you select how long the display screen and keypad are backlit after any key press is made.

Tochangethebacklightsetting:
