Care and cleaning Instructions

Always disconnect the Stainless Drip Filter from the power outlet before cleaning any parts.

Do not immerse the power cord, plug or unit in water or any other liquid.

After each use

1.Clean all detachable parts including the filter basket holder, mesh filter basket, glass carafe and plastic spoon in warm, soapy water.

2.Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a soft, damp cloth to remove any stains. Never use any abrasive agents on the appliance.

3.Water droplets may build up in the area above the funnel and drip onto the product base during brewing. To control the dripping, wipe off the area with a clean, dry cloth after each use of the product.

4.Use a damp cloth to gently wipe the keep warm plate. Never use any abrasive agents on the keep warm plate.

5.Replace all parts into position ready for next use.

Removal of mineral deposits

Over time, mineral deposits in tap water may build up in the water tank and internal tubes. It is important to periodically remove these mineral deposits to ensure the optimum performance of your appliance.

To remove this build-up, use Sunbeam Liquid Descaler, a simple to use, non-toxic cleaner available from Sunbeam Appointed Service Agents.

Alternatively:

1.Place the Stainless Drip Filter on a flat, level surface.

2.Fill the water tank to the maximum capacity with 2/3 water and 1/3 white vinegar. Close the tank lid.

3.Press the ON/AUTO/OFF button once, and the solution will start to drip through into the carafe. Once one cup of water has dripped through into the carafe, press the ON/AUTO/OFF button twice to turn the appliance off.

4.Leave the appliance off for 15minutes to allow the solution to take effect in the internal tubes and water tank.

5.After 15 minutes, press the ON/AUTO/OFF button once, and wait for the rest of the solution to drip through into the carafe until the water tank is empty.

5.Remove the carafe, filter basket holder and removable mesh filter and clean in warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly and position back into place in the appliance.

6.Fill the water tank to the maximum capacity (12 cups) and press the ON/ AUTO/OFF button once, and allow water to drip into the carafe until the water tank is empty. Empty the carafe and repeat 2 more times.

Your appliance has now completed the removal of mineral deposits and is ready for use.
