4. Prior to making a second pot of coffee, turn the
coffeemaker off. This will reset the FRESH BREW™
TIMER feature. To turn the coffeemaker off, press
the BREW NOW/OFF button all lights will turn off.
5. Make sure the decanter is empty before starting to
brew coffee.
6. Be sure to turn your coffeemaker off when
no longer using it.
The Fresh Brew™Timer Feature
The FRESH BREW™TIMER feature lets you know how
long your coffee has been waiting for you. At the start
of the brew cycle, the FRESH BREW™ TIMER feature
will automaticallybe activated.
Press the FRESH BREW™TIMER button once (Figure
8) and the clock time will change to show the amount
of time that has passed since brewing completed. Push
again to display current time.
NOTE: The BREW NOW blue light must be on
for the FRESH BREW™ TIMER feature to operate.
The time and delay brew time cannot be set
when the fresh brew time is displayed.
BREWING C OFFEE LAT ER
1. You must first s et the time for when you would l ike
the coffe emaker t o begin brewing y our coff ee as
described in Sett ing the Clock an d the De lay Brew
Timer sectio n.
2. Prepar e your coffeemake r as des cribed i n Adding
Water and Ground Coffee se ction.
3. To activ ate DELA Y BREW a nd progra m your
coffeemake r to br ew coffee at a l ater tim e, press the
DELAY BRE W button (Figure 9). The b lue DELAY
BREW ligh t will turn on. The coffe emaker is now se t
to automa tically brew coff ee at th e pre-se t later time.
At this time the brew st rength li ght will turn on . You
can selec t the s trength t hat you desire b y pressin g the
BREW STRE NGTH but ton. (Amb er for S TRONG,
white for REGULAR )
4. At th e pre-se t time, the blue BREW NOW light will
turn on and the DELAY BR EW blue light wi ll turn
off, indi cating t he brewin g has st arted in the sel ected
brew stre ngth. The FRESH B REW™TIMER feature
will star t.
5. The co ffeemaker warmer plate wil l keep y our coff ee
hot for 2 hours and then automati cally tur n off.
Thermal mo dels will turn o ff at th e end of the br ew
cycle.
As a saf ety feat ure, your coffeem aker will NOT sta rt
again aut omaticall y the ne xt day. If you
want your coffee to brew at the same tim e the fo llowing
day, sim ply add a new fi lter, co ffee
and water and se t DELAY BREW, by repeatin g
Steps 2 and 3 ab ove.
To cance l DELAY BR EW:Press the DELA Y BREW
button un til all lights t urn off (Figure 9) .
