SPECIAL PLAYBACK
This function enables you to improve the picture
quality when playing back worn cassettes such as
rented tapes.
1Select “USER’S SET UP”
Hit [SETUP].
Press [K/ L]to point to “USER’S
SET UP”, then hit [ENTER].
2Set “RENTAL”to [ON]
Press [K/ L]to point to
“RENTAL”.
Hit [ENTER] until [ON] appears.
3Exit the Rental setting
Hit [SETUP] to return to the TV mode.
4Start playback
Hit [PLAYOO]to start playback.
“RENTALPLAY B” appears.
•Once you select the rental mode, it stays in effect
even after you turn off the unit.

TO CANCEL THE RENTALMODE

Repeat steps 1to 2and select [OFF] using
[ENTER]. Hit [SETUP] to return to TVmode.
Even if there is a powerfailure of any kind, the
unit will retain its memory forthis feature.

Make sure ...
•The unit must be turned on.
•Insert a prerecorded tape.

RENTALPLAYBACK

The unit has the auto repeat function that allows you to
repeat a tape indefinitely without hitting [PLAYOO].
ALL REPEAT:Repeat playback from the beginning
to the end of the tape.
BLANK REPEAT: Repeat playback from the begin-
ning to a blank part, which is blank for more than
10 seconds.
1Select “USER’S SET UP”
Hit [SETUP].
Press [K/ L]to point to “USER’S
SET UP”, then hit [ENTER].
2Select “ALL”or “BLANK”
Press [K/ L]to point to “REPEAT
PLAY”.
Hit [ENTER] repeatedly until your
desired selection [ALL] or
[BLANK] appears.
3Exit the Repeat Play setting
Hit [SETUP] to return to the TV mode.
4Start playback
Hit [PLAYOO]to start the Repeat Play.
“REPEATPLAY B” appears.
•Once you select the repeat play mode, it stays in
effect even after you turn off the unit.
•If the rental mode is set [ON], the “RENTAL
PLAYB” display has priority.
