Introduction

The Series 3100 terminals are lightweight, battery powered, hand-held computer systems. Data can be entered using the terminal keyboard, the integrated laser scanner, or the tethered bar code scanners.

The Series 3100 includes both batch and radio terminals. The PDT 3100 performs direct communications. The PDT 3110 and 3124 perform Spectrum One radio communications. The PDT 3140 performs Spectrum 24 radio communications. All Series 3100 terminals can be used as remote terminals for collecting and storing data that is later uploaded to a host computer.
