SCART 1 and SCART 2 sockets (input-output)

These can be used to connect a video recorder, camcorder, decoder, satellite receiver, DVD player or video game console.

The SCART 1 socket can also be used for connecting an appliance supplying an RGB signal (DVD player, video recorder, etc.).

Note: If you connect the decoder to the TV set using a SCART cable, select Inputs / PIP from the main menu. Under Main input, select the AV socket (SCART1 or SCART2) which the decoder is connected to. Select Main input settings. Under TV SCART, select Not used.

Video component (YUV) and LINE IN CVBS/YUV L/R audio sockets (input)

To connect a DVD player or another video source equipped with a YUV output.

S-VIDEO and LINE IN S-VIDEO L/R audio sockets (input)

These can be mainly used to connect camcorders (S-VHS or Hi 8 format).

PC DVI-1 video and LINE IN PC audio sockets (input)

They can be used to connect a PC with a compatible video card, certain DVD players or a high-definition compatible digital satellite decoder.The formats supported are 480i, 480p, 576p, 720p and 1080i.

Notes:

-On older PC graphic cards it is possible that pin 9 is barred. Should this be the case, please contact the service hotline.

-The DVI socket is compatible with HDCP format.

Connecting active speakers

The audio LINE OUT sockets at the back of the television can be used to connect active speakers (with a built-in amplifier) replacing the television’s built-in speakers.

Left and right speakers: connect the left speaker to the LINE OUT L socket and the right speaker to the LINE OUT R socket.

Subwoofer: connect the subwoofer to the LINE OUT SUB socket.

Connecting an amplifier

You can connect an amplifier and two speakers to replace your television’s side speakers.

Connect your television’s left L and right R LINE OUT sockets to the amplifier’s L and R inputs.

Connecting a video recorder

To obtain optimum picture quality, use a SCART cable. However, you can also connect a video recorder to the television using the aerial socket.
