What water to use?

Yourappliancehasbeendesignedtofunctionwithuntreatedtapwater.However,itisnecessarytooperatetheSelf-Clean functionregularlyinordertoeliminatehardwaterdepositsfromthesteamchamber.

Ifyourwaterisveryhard(checkwithyourlocalwaterauthority),itispossibletomixuntreatedtapwaterwithstore- boughtdistilledordemineralisedwaterinthefollowingproportions:

-50%tapwater,-50%distilledordemineralisedwater.

Types of water not to use?

Heatconcentratestheelementscontainedinwaterduringevaporation.Thetypesofwaterlistedbelowcontainorganic wasteormineralelementsthatcancausespitting,brownstaining,orprematurewearoftheappliance:waterfrom clothesdryers,scentedorsoftenedwater,waterfromrefrigerators,batteriesorairconditioners,puredistilledor demineralisedwaterorrainwatershouldnotbeusedinyourTefaliron.Alsodonotuseboiled,filteredorbottledwater.
