3.0INSTALLATION

3.1PanelMounting:

Section8ofthismanualshowsanoutlinedrawingdetailingpanelcutoutforastandardHastingsCVTGauge. Installthe meteronthepanelusingthesuppliedhardware.

3.2 GaugeTubeInstallation:

Situatethegaugetubeinaclean,dryvacuumsystemwiththeopenendpointingdownsoastobeself-drainingshouldany vaporscondenseinit(seeSection6.0). Screwmetaltubesinto1/8"femaleNPTthreadsusingasuitablesealant;Teflon tapeisrecommended,oruseHastingsQuickConnectO-ringsealsforavacuumtightinstallation. DonotuseQuick ConnectiftubewillseepressuresgreaterthanATM.

Gaugetubemaybeoperatedimmediately,butbestresultswillbeobtainedafterthetubehasoutgassedforapproximately1 hour.

Tubesaretemperaturecompensated,butdorespondtorapidtransientenvironmentalchanges(greaterthan5degreeC/ min.) Tominimizetemperaturetransientseffectspleaseinsulategaugetubewithglasswraporothersuitableinsulation wrap.
