Introduction
TheTF 7710 HSCI/TF7720 HSCI digital receiver is fully com-
pliantwith the international Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB)
standard,and can receive digital broadcasts. For its operation
youneed an antenna, which must be installed appropriately.
NOTE
Ingeneral we equate a channel with a frequency. Unlike ana-
logue broadcasts, however,digital broadcasts are not all as-
signed to their own frequencies; instead, multiple television
broadcastsare transmitted through a single frequency. The fre-
quencyin digital broadcasting is usually called transponder. To
reduceconfusion in this manual, the word
service
ispreferably
usedthan
channel
asa term to indicate one television or radio
broadcast.
