Choosing the language and system, tuning the TV with Automatic Search Memory (ASM)
Before switching on the TV put your decoder and video recorder to Standby. To set up the TV use the buttons on the remote control as detailed on page 5.
1Press the ‘1’ button to put the television into programme position 1.
2Choose your language by pressing the MENU button then using S or Rselect the FEATURE menu.
3Press Q or P to highlight LANGUAGE.

4Using S or Rselect your LANGUAGE and press MENU.
5Using S or Rselect the SET UP menu. Use Q or P to highlight SYSTEM then S or R to select your country’s system.

7The search will begin for all available stations. xxxxx will flash and the bullet will move along the line as the search progresses.
You must allow the television to complete
the search.

MENU: STOP VHFL
All active channels will preset automatically.
When the search is complete the TV will automatically select programme position 1. This may not be a clear picture or the signal may be weak, so the station order may be changed using using Manual Tune (RRR).
