Using the Remote Control

Learning about the remote control

Only the buttons that are used to operate the TV set are described here.

POWER turns the TV on or off

SLEEP sets the TV to turn off at a specific time (page 39)

LIGHT The initial press of the LIGHT button causes two actions:

1)enables the illumination mode

2)illuminates the keypad.

Subsequent presses of the LIGHT button cause the Illumination mode to toggle between enabled and disabled. Any keypress illuminates the keypad for 5 seconds.

If in programming mode, the keypad will remain lit for 10 seconds.

When disabled, pressing the LIGHT button enables the illumination mode and lights the keypad.

Channel Numbers (0-9, 100) allow direct access to channels (pages 24, 25)

MODE cycles through the 6 device modes (TV, CABLE/SAT, VCR, DVD, AUDIO1, AUDIO2).

MENU/ENTER allows access to programming and sets programming menu information (page 23)

yz x • selects or adjusts programming menus (page 23)

x • (FAVORITE) selects your favorite channels (page 26)

VOL yz adjusts the volume level

EXIT sets programming menu information and exits programming menus (page 23)

CH yz cycles through programmed channels (page 24)

CH RTN (Channel Return) returns to the last viewed channel (page 26)

RECALL displays on-screen information(page 39)

MUTE mutes the sound (page 41)

INPUT selects video input source (page 24)

PIP Buttons allow access to PIP functions (page 36)

PIP turns the PIP on and off

PIP CH yz selects the PIP channels

INFO allows access to the Multi-Window function

STILL freezes the PIP display

SOURCE selects the PIP source

LOCATE changes the location of the PIP window

SWAP switches the PIP and main pictures
