The back side of the computer

 

Universal Serial Bus The Universal Serial Bus port is on the back side.

(USB 2.0) port

Refer to Left side section, for defails.

External monitor port This external monitor port lets you connect an

external video display.

Video-out jack

Plug an S-Video cable into this jack for video-out.

 

The S-Video cable carries video signal.

 

 

Modem jack

The modem jack lets you use a modular cable to

 

connect the modem directly to a telephone line.

In case of a lightning storm, unplug the modular cable from the telephone jack.

Do not connect the modem to a digital telephone line. A digital line will damage the modem.

LAN jack

This jack lets you connect to a LAN. The

 

adaptor has built-in support for Ethernet LAN

 

(10 megabits per second, 10BASE-T) and Fast

 

Ethernet LAN (100 megabits per second,

 

100BASE-TX). The LAN has two indicators. Refer

 

to Chapter 4, Operating Basics, for details.

 

 

Do not connect any cable other than a LAN cable to the LAN jack. It could cause damage or malfunction.

Do not connect the LAN cable to a power supply. It could cause damage or malfunction.
