Instalación rápida

1Para todos los modelos—Enchufe su sistema UPS a una toma de corriente de 230 V CA, 50/60 Hz.

Sólo para modelos SMX:

Después de conectar el UPS en una toma de corriente alterna con energía, el equipo cargará automáticamente sus baterías,** pero no suministrará energía a sus salidas hasta que sea encendido (vea el Paso 3) El LED BATTERY CHARGE (Carga de batería) será el único iluminado.

Sólo para modelos OMNIX:

Su UPS ejecutará una auto-prueba después de ser conectado. Consulte la Operación básica para entender los resultados de la auto-prueba.

2Para todos los modelos—Conecte su equipo en el UPS.*

* Su UPS sólo está diseñado para dar soporte a equipos de cómputo. Si la capacidad total en VA para todos los equipos conectados a las salidas protegidas por baterías de reserva / protegidas contra sobretensión excede la capacidad de salida del UPS (vea las Especificaciones), éste se sobrecargará Para averiguar la capacidad de sus equipos en VA, revise sus placas. Si la capacidad del equipo está indicada en amperios, multiplique los amperios por 230 para determinar los VA. (Ejemplo: 1 amperio × 230 = 230 VA) Si no está seguro de si ha sobrecargado las salidas del UPS, consulte la descripción del LED “OUTPUT LOAD LEVEL” (Nivel de carga de salida)

3Sólo para modelos SMX—

Encienda el UPS.

Presione y mantenga presionado el botón “POWER” (Alimentación) durante un segundo. La alarma emitirá un pitido brevemente después de pasado un segundo. Suelte el botón.

Sólo para modelos OMNIX— Seleccione el modo de operación del UPS.*

Oprima el botón UPS/STANDBY para alternar el sistema entre los modos UPS (LED encendido) y STANDBY—espera— (LED parpadeando). Elija el modo de operación segun su ubicación:

Europa Occidental:

• Deje el sistema siempre en el modo UPS.

El resto de los países:

•Ponga el sistema en el modo STANDBY (espera) cuando no esté utilizando los equipos conectados al mismo.

(¡ADVERTENCIA! Cuando el interruptor esté en la posición "STANDBY" (carga de batería solamente), el sistema UPS no suministrará energía de batería durante un apagón o baja de voltaje).

•Ponga el sistema en el modo UPS cuando esté utilizando los equipos conectados al mismo.
