TCS-122, TCS-152 specifications

Turbosound is renowned in the professional audio industry for producing high-quality sound reinforcement systems, and their TCS series, including the TCS-152 and TCS-122, exemplifies this commitment to excellence. These models are designed for a variety of applications, from live sound performances to installed sound systems in venues and event spaces.

The TCS-152 is a versatile 15-inch two-way passive loudspeaker. It features a 15-inch low-frequency driver that delivers powerful bass response, making it ideal for music playback and vocal reproduction. The high-frequency range is achieved through a 1-inch neodymium compression driver. Both drivers work in concert to provide a smooth and wide frequency response, ensuring clarity and detail at all output levels.

On the other hand, the TCS-122 is a compact 12-inch two-way passive loudspeaker designed for clear mid-range and excellent vocal reproduction. It is equipped with a 12-inch low-frequency driver and a 1-inch neodymium compression driver, providing a tonal balance that is perfect for speech applications and music alike. The compact design makes the TCS-122 suitable for smaller venues, where space is a premium.

One of the main features of both models is the advanced cabinet design. Constructed from durable reinforced birch plywood, they are built to withstand the rigors of touring and installations. The cabinets are equipped with multiple mounting points, allowing for a variety of rigging options, making them adaptable for flying or ground stacking configurations. This flexibility ensures that users can optimize sound coverage in different environments.

Additionally, Turbosound’s proprietary Waveguide technology significantly enhances the dispersion pattern of the high-frequency drivers in both models. This ensures that sound is evenly distributed throughout the audience area, minimizing dead spots and providing a consistent listening experience from various angles.

Moreover, both the TCS-152 and TCS-122 are designed with user-friendly aspects, such as a sleek, unobtrusive design, making them visually appealing for any setting. Advanced thermal management features protect components from overheating during extended use, contributing to their reliability.

In summary, Turbosound’s TCS-152 and TCS-122 loudspeakers offer a combination of robust construction, advanced technology, and superb audio performance. Whether in a live sound context or a fixed installation, these models are engineered to deliver exceptional sound quality that meets the demands of today’s audio professionals. With their versatility and high-performance characteristics, they are a valuable addition to any sound system.
