Before choosing a location for your new phone, read the INSTALLATION
CONSIDERATIONS included in the PRECAUTIONS AND WARRANTY INFORMATION
brochure. Here are some important guidelines you should consider:

A continuous power
outlet is an AC outlet
which does not have a
switch to interrupt its
power.
Do not place the power
cord in an area where
it may create a trip
hazard or become chafed
and create a fire or
electrical hazard.
Avoid heat sources such as radiators,
air ducts, and sunlight
Avoid television sets and
other electronic equipment
Avoid noise sources such as a window
by a street with heavy traf fic
Avoid microwave ovens
Avoid excessive moisture,
extremely low temperatures, dust,
mechanical vibration, or shock
Avoid personal computers
Avoid other cordless telephones
Choose a central location
• The location should be close t o both a phone jac k and continuous power outlet.
• Keep the base unit and handset away from sour ces of electrical noise such
as microwave ovens, motors, or fluorescent lighting.
• Be sur e there is suf ficient space to rotate the base unit antenna t o a
vertical position.
After installing the batter y pack in the handset, you should ch arge your ha ndset
for 1155 hhoouurrss bbeeffoorree uussiinngg tthhee pphhoonnee. Once the handset batter y pack is fully
charged, connect the telephone line cord to the base and telephone wall outlet.
