Using Your Remote

Device Buttons

Any press of a Device button at the top of the remote control can perform the following functions:

1 Changes the Device mode on the SL-9000 remote control.

2 Sends out a preprogrammed POWER ON command for a Device, if applicable.

3 Sends out a learned and/or joined selection.

4 Toggles between the Main Device mode and the Automatic Audio mode if the Automatic Audio Mode is active.

Joining to Device Buttons

The 10 preprogrammed Audio input selects and the key- pad buttons 0-9 found on the SL-9000 in the AUDIO Device mode can be joined to individual Device buttons. Once joined, any press of the Device button will also emit the joined command.

Setting Up:

1 Press the AUDIO and ENTER buttons simultaneously on the remote control. JOIN will appear in the LCD.

2 Press the Device button that you would like to assign a joined function. CLEAR will flash and INPUT will then appear in the LCD.

3Select a button to be joined from the remote control, e.g. , VCR1, VCR2, CD, etc. or 1, 1, 2 etc.). The LCD will display IN_XX indicating the Audio input selected (IN_V1, IN_V2, IN_CD, etc. or IN_0, IN_1, IN_2 etc.) and then JOIN.
