Hearth Requirements

The Freestanding Stove and Hearthmount Shell must be installed on rigid flooring. If the appliance is installed on any combustible surface other than wood flooring, such as carpet or tile, a metal or wood panel must be installed to extend the full length and width of the unit.

WARNING

Do not install this heater in a bathroom or bed- room.

Installation of this heater must conform with local codes or, in the absence of local codes, with the National Fuel Gas Code, ANSI Z223.1 / NFPA54.

This heater creates warm air currents. These currents move heat to wall surfaces next to the heater. Installing the heater next to vinyl or cloth wall coverings or operating the heater where im- purities in the air such as tobacco smoke exist, may discolor walls.

Do not use a blower insert, heat exchanger insert or other accessory not approved for use with this heater.

Among their esteemed lineup, the Vermont Castings 4030 and 4049 models showcase a blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology, epitomizing the brand's philosophy of combining functionality with aesthetics.

The Vermont Castings 4030 is particularly celebrated for its efficiency and robust design. One of its standout features is the advanced catalyst system that allows for cleaner burning and reduced emissions. The stove operates with a specially designed catalytic combustor, enhancing the combustion process and increasing overall efficiency. This results in longer burn times and a warmer, cozier atmosphere with less frequent refueling.

The 4049 model builds upon this foundation, delivering enhanced heating capacity suitable for larger spaces. It boasts a high BTU output, ensuring that even expansive areas remain comfortably warm during the coldest months. One of the defining characteristics of the 4049 is its impressive ability to provide a long-lasting heat source, thanks to its large firebox and innovative design.

Both models feature a beautiful cast iron construction, which not only exudes an old-world charm but also allows for superior heat retention. This heavy-duty material ensures that once heated, the stoves radiate warmth over a long period, making them efficient choices for home heating.

A unique feature found in both models is the air wash system. This technology keeps the glass panel clean, allowing homeowners to enjoy the mesmerizing view of the flames without worrying about soot buildup. The stoves are also designed with adjustable airflow controls, giving users the ability to fine-tune the heat output and fuel efficiency according to their preferences.

Aesthetically, the Vermont Castings 4030 and 4049 are designed to complement a variety of home decors, featuring multiple finishes and door styles to suit individual tastes. The craftsmanship extends to decorative features, including embossed designs that add elegance to any room.
