Set date and time

If you subscribe to caller ID ser vice, the day, month and time are set automatically
with each incoming call. You can also set the d ate and time manually.
Press MENU on the handset when n ot in use.
Scroll to Set date/time and t hen press SELECT.
Use the dialing keys (0-9) to enter the mo nth (MM), date (DD) and year (YY).
Then press SELECT.
Use the dialing keys (0-9) to enter the h our (HH) and minute (MM).
Then press or to cho ose AM or PM.
Press SELECT.
Telephone operation

Make a home call on the cordless ha ndset:

Press or , and then dial the telephone numb er.

Make a home call at the telephone b ase:

Press , then dial the telephone numb er.

Make a cell call on the cordless ha ndset:

Press . Scroll to select the desire d cell phone when
necessary, then press SELEC T.
Enter the telephone number and then pre ss to dial.
While using the cell line, p lace your cell phone closer to th e
telephone base, and make sure t hat there are no physical
obstacles between th e telephone base and the cell ph one,
such as large furniture or t hick walls.

Make a cell call at the telephone b ase:

Press . Scroll to select the desire d cell phone when
necessary, then press .
Enter the telephone number and then pre ss to dial.

Answer a home/cell call on the cordless handset:

Press , , or any dialing key.

Answer a home/cell call at the tele phone base:

Press , or any dialing key.

End a home/cell call on the cordle ss handset:

Press OFF or put the handset back in the te lephone base.

End a home/cell call at the telep hone base:

For a home line call, press .
For a cell line call, press .

Handset speakerphone

During a call, press to switch bet ween the handset speakerphone and the
handset earpiece.

Volume

To adjust the listening volume on the cordless handset:

During a call, press / VOLUME or /VOLU ME.

To adjust the listening volume on the telephone base:

During a call, tap VOL+ or VOL-.

Mute

The mute function allows you to hear the other party but the other party cannot hear you.
During a call, press MUTE on the h andset or tap MUTE on the telephone base.
The screen displays Muted.
Press MUTE on the handset or tap M UTE on the telephone base again to
resume the conversation. The scre en displays Microphone on briey.

Call waiting

When you subscribe to call waiting s ervice from your telephone servi ce provider,
you hear an alert tone if there is an inc oming call while you are already on a call.

Call waiting on the home line:

Press FLASH on the cordles s handset or tap FLASH on the telephone bas e to
put the current call on hold and ta ke the new call.
Press FLASH on the cordles s handset or tap FLASH on the telephone bas e at
any time to switch back and forth bet ween calls.
