5.Turn ON nearest faucet long enough to clear line of water.

6.Usrng a grounded drill, dnll a %-Inch hole on the cold water pipe you have selected.

7.Fasten shut-off valve to cold water pipe with pipe clamp. Be sure outlet end is solidly rn the ‘/a-inch drilled hole in the water pope and that washer IS under the pipe clamp. Trghten packing nut. Tighten the pipe clamp screws carefully and evenly so washer makes a water- trght seal. Do not overtrghten or you may crush the copper tubrng. especially If soft (coiled) copper tubing IS used. Now you are ready to connect the copper tubrng.

8.Slrp compressron sleeve and compression nut on copper tubing as shown In dragram. Insert end of tubing Into outlet end squarely as far as It will go.

Screw compressron nut onto outlet end with adjustable wrench. Do not over-tighten. Place the free end of the tubing Into the srnk, and turn ON main water supply and flush out tubtng until water is clear. Turn OFF shut- off valve on the water pipe. Co11 copper tubing.

5.OUVRIR le robinet de puisage le plus proche pendant une periode suffisante pour que la canalisation d’eau se vrde.

6.A I’aide d’une perceuse electrique reliee a la terre, perter un trou de ‘/4 po dans la canalrsation d’eau froide choisie.

7.Fixer le robinet sur la canalisation d’eau froide avec la brrde de prise en charge. Verifier que le raccord du robinet est bien engage dans le trou de 74 po per& dans la canalisation, et que la rondelle d’etancheite est placee sous la bride de prise en charge. Serrer l’ecrou de serrage sur la hge du robinet. Serrer soigneusement

et uniformement les vis fixant la bride de prise en charge sur la tuyauterie, afin que la rondelle forme une

jonctron etanche. Ne pas serrer excessivement, car ceci pourrait provoquer l’ecrasement du tube en cuivre,

particulierement s’il s’agrt d’un tube en cuivre malleable. On est alors pret I connecter le tube de

raccordement en cuivre.

8.Enfiler l’ecrou et la bague de compression du raccord sur le tube en cuivre, comme on le voit sur I’illustration. Inserer I’extremite du tube aussi loin que possible dans

I’ouverture de sorhe du robinet. Visser l’ecrou du raccord a compression sur le raccord de sortie avec

une cle a molette. Ne pas serrer excessivement. Ouvrir le robinet prrncipal d’arrivee d’eau et laisser I’eau

s’ecouler par le tube de raccordement jusqu’a ce qu’elle soit limpide. Fermer le robinet principal d’arrivee

d’eau. Enrouler le tube de raccordement en spirale.
