IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire,
electrical shock, injury to persons, or
damage when using the cook-top, follow
basic precautions, including the following:
CAUTION – Do not store items of
interest to children in cabinets above a
cook-top or on the backguard of a cook-
top-children climbing on the cook-top to
reach items could be seriously injured.
Proper Installation – The cook-top,
when installed, must be electrically
grounded in accordance with local
codes or, in the absence of local codes,
with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/
NFPA 70. Be sure the cook-top is
properly installed and grounded by a
qualified technician.
This cook-top is equipped with a three-
prong grounding plug for your protection
against shock hazard and should be
plugged directly into a properly grounded
receptacle. Do not cut or remove the
grounding prong from this plug.
Disconnect the electrical supply before
servicing the appliance.
Never Use the Cook-Top for Warming or
Heating the Room.
Do Not Leave Children Alone – Children
should not be left alone or unattended in
area where the cook-top is in use. They
should never be allowed to sit or stand
on any part of the cook-top.
Wear Proper Apparel – Loose-fitting or
hanging garments should never be worn
while using the cook-top.
User Servicing – Do not repair or replace
any part of the cook-top unless specifi-
cally recommended in the manual. All
other servicing should be referred to a
qualified technician.
Maintenance – Keep cook-top area clear
and free from combustible materials,
gasoline, and other flammable vapors
and liquids.
