GROUNDING

-For personal safety, this appliance must be properly grounded.

-The appliance’s power cord is equipped with a three-prong (grounding) plug that mates with a standard three-prong (grounding) wall outlet to minimize the possibility of electric shock.

-Have the wall outlet and circuit checked by a qualified electrician to make sure that the outlet is properly grounded.

-If you encounter a two-prong wall outlet, it is your personal responsibility and obligation to have it replaced with a properly grounded three-prong wall outlet.

-DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, CUT OR REMOVE THE THIRD (GROUND) PRONG FROM THE POWER CORD.

HANDLING THE CORD

-Never use the electrical power cord to turn the unit on or off.

-Grasp the plug to remove the cord from the outlet. Never pull on the cord to remove the plug from the outlet.

USE OF EXTENSION CORD NOT RECOMMENDED

Because of potential safety hazards under certain conditions, we strongly recommend that you don’t use an extension cord. However, if you do choose to use an extension cord, it has to be a UL-listed, 3-wire, grounding, appliance exten- sion cord with a grounding plug (to be used with only a corresponding outlet) and that the electrical rating of the cord is 20 amperes (minimum) and 120 volts.

TO REDUCE RISKS

-To reduce risks of fire or electrical shock, do not expose the unit to rain or moisture.

-Do not open the cabinet while the unit is connected to a power source. Dangerous voltage is present.

-Have repairs performed by a certified HVAC technician.
