NOTE: The customer is responsible for obtaining, stringing, and maintenance of the bus and tag cables. The bus and tag cables must be fully populated cable sets.
Host Channel Unit (HCU)—channel-attached systems only
Your system may use a Host Channel Unit (HCU) for channel connection to a host for IPDS printing.
The HCU handles all IPDS communications and handshaking with PSF on the host when the system is receiving data over a channel. It is not used when the system is printing data using TCP/IP.
