Alignment ProcedureNotes1. This operation takes about 3 minutes and requires at
least 2 sheets of paper. (The first shee t, for printing
Test 1, can be re-inserted before you print Test 2.)
2. From the Test 1 alignment, locate the letter under the
alignment pattern that comes closest to forming
perfectly straight lines. Enter that letter and click OK.
Next, enter the number under the alignment pattern
that comes closest to forming perfectly straight lines.
Enter that number and cli ck OK.
3. From the Test 2 alignment, locate the letter under the
alignment pattern that comes closest to forming
perfectly straight lines. Enter that letter and click OK.
Next, enter the number under the alignment pattern
that comes closest to forming a perfectly straight line.
Enter that number and cli ck OK.
4. A third page will print for you to confirm your
alignment selections. All the various alignment
patterns should be comprised of reasonably straight
lines.
5. If you are not satisfied with the alignment pattern,
repeat the alignment procedure. If the lines are not
printing completely, you may need to clean the print
cartridges. See “Cleaning Print Cartridg es” (page4-7).
