EURO Font

The Euro character is provided in all standard Latin fonts (letter fonts such as Helvetica and Times) and the Symbol font included with the Adobe PostScript 3 interpreter. Special fonts such as ZapfDingbats do not contain the Euro symbol. Although the Euro character’s “glyph” is added to the PostScript fonts, standard font encoding (that is, the character set) does not include the character.

To access the Euro character’s glyph directly, use the “glyphshow” command as shown in the following example:
