3.4. About SCSI Controllers

This Yamaha CD-RW package does not include a SCSI host adapter. A host adapter provides the interface between your PC and various peripheral devices. A wide range of cards are available with various levels of performance, features and price. If you plan

to add peripherals such as scanners or external hard drives, you may want a more capable host adapter. If, on the other hand, you plan to use the host adapter only to connect this CD-RW, you may prefer a more economical controller. Yamaha recommends any of Adaptec’s 2940 Series or Iwill’s 2930 Series of controller cards.
