Firmware

Firmware refers to the operating software designed for your CD-R/RW drive. It is stored in the drive’s flash memory so that it can be rewritten.

To enhance operation reliability, Yamaha continues improving the firmware and makes updates available on the internet. You can find information about the latest firmware at the following websites.

Checking the firmware version in the CRW3200IX drive

For Windows 98 Second Edition/Me

In the Device Manager dialog box (P. 15), select YAMAHA CRW3200E to display the YAMAHA CRW3200E Properties dialog box, and then select the

Settings tab.

The revision number shown here varies depending on the version of the firmware in the drive as set at default.

For Windows 2000 Professional/XP

The firmware version cannot be shown with Device Manager dialog box. Check the firmware version with the CD writing software. For details about how to use the software, refer to the documentation that comes with it.

For Macintosh
