1 Press the cursor buttons (k, n, l, h) to select an “ms” box, then press ENTER.

•If Distance A or B in the above illustration is equal to or greater than Distance C, set the delay time to 0 ms.
•If Distance A or Distance B is less than Distance C, set the delay time as follows:

cSpeaker balance
You can use the test tone to adjust the output level of each speaker (center, rear L/R) until the volume level of each speaker matches the main speakers.
1 Press the cursor buttons (k, n, l, h) to select “Test,” then press ENTER.
The test tone plays through one speaker at a time in the following order, starting with the left front speaker.

The value in the “dB” box changes.
You cannot adjust the main speaker level.
Note
•The subwoofer cannot output the test tone. Play a recording and return to this screen to adjust the output level of the sub- woofer.
■Exiting speaker setting mode
Press the cursor buttons (k, n, l, h) to select “EXIT,” then press ENTER.
Notes
•You must make separate settings for SACD mode (see page 31).
•These adjustments may not be effective when the disc’s origi- nal sound design is protected. In this case, the P.PCM indicator will light up or the D.MIX indicator will turn off.
