CHANGING THE DVD MODE SETTINGS

bDelay time

(This parameter is effective on only center/rear channels of DVD-Video discs recorded in Dolby Digital format.) To obtain maximum effect from a Dolby Digital 5.1 channel source, all speakers (except the subwoofer) should be located the same distance from the listening position. However, the center speaker is often placed in line with the front speakers. You can virtually increase the distance of the center and rear speakers by adjusting the delay time.

You cannot adjust the main speaker level.

Notes

You must make separate settings for SACD mode (see page 31).

These adjustments may not be effective when the disc’s origi- nal sound design is protected. In this case, the P.PCM indicator will light up or the D.MIX indicator will turn off.
