PSR-2100/1100

Using Your

PSR-2100/1100

with Other Devices

1Using the Headphones

(PHONES jack).

A standard pair of stereo headphones can be plugged in
here for private practice or late-night playing. The internal
stereo speaker system is automatically shut off when a
pair of headphones is plugged into the PHONES jack
(page 152).

2Connecting the Microphone

or Guitar (MIC./LINE IN jack)

(PSR-2100 only).

By connecting a microphone to the PSR-2100, you can
enjoy singing along with your own performance or song
playback. (A dynamic microphone is recommended.) The
PSR-2100 outputs your vocals or guitar sounds through
the built-in speakers.
1Connect your microphone to the MIC./LINE IN jack
(standard 1/4" phone jack).
2Set the [MIC. LINE] switch (located next to the MIC./
LINE IN jack) to the MIC. position.
3Use the [INPUT VOLUME]
knob (located next to the
MIC./LINE IN jack) to set the
microphone volume then
trying singing into the
microphone.
The volume should be set high enough that the
SIGNAL lamp on the top panel lights steadily when
you sing, but not so high that the OVER lamp lights
(page 131).
Before connecting the PSR-2100/1100 to other electronic compo-
nents, turn off the power to all the components. Before turning the
power on or off to all components, set all volume levels to minimum
(0). Otherwise, electrical shock or damage to the components may
occur.
CAUTION
1
Use an unidirectional microphone for best results.
