Clearing renamed source names,

and setup manufacturer codes

1 Press an input selector button or Å/ı/Ç to select the component control for which you want to clear the name, function or manufacturer code.

ABC PHONO

V-AUX TUNER MD/CD-R CD

2 Press CLEAR using a ballpoint pen or similar object.

Note

•If you do not press any button within 30 seconds after step 2, the clearing process cancels. If this happens, start again from step 1.

3 Press u / d to select the clear mode. The mode cycles in the display window in the following order:

	–	TV MUTE	+
	–	SELECT	+
	PRESET		PRESET

4 Press and hold CLEAR again for about 3 seconds.

“C:OK” appears in the display window.

Note

•“C:NG” appears in the display window if the operation is unsuccessful. If this happens, start again from step 2.

5 Press CLEAR to exit from the clearing mode.

Note

•“ERROR” appears in the display window if you press any buttons other than those indicated in each step, or more than one button at once.

OPERATION	ADVANCED

(L: component name) Clears setup manufacturer code for the component control.

Clears all renamed source names in the display window.

Clears all setup manufacturer codes and renamed source names. This returns the unit to the default factory settings.
