Introduction

The multi-purpose Yorkville 50KB/KW mixer/amp has been designed to produce the most performance possible in a compact combo format. The Yorkville 50KB/KW is appropriate to use with just about anything that produces an audio signal. This includes such items as professional or home keyboards, acoustic guitars (with pickups), microphones, or other audio sources such as CD-players or even cassette decks. No matter what, the Yorkville 50KB/KW will sound great and be dependable for years to come.

Inputs

The Yorkville 50KB/KW has two input channels, both input channels can be used simul- taneously. As an example, you could use a microphone on Channel 1 and a stereo key- board on Channel 2. You can balance the loudness of the two sources by adjusting each individual channel’s volume control.

Channel 1

Channel 1 is optimized for microphones, however the phone jack can also accept line level inputs from an acoustic guitar (with pickup), electronic keyboard, CD-player or other audio sources. This channel offers more gain than Channel 2, it’s advised that the source with the lower level output be connected to Channel 1. Adjust the volume con- trol for the level of sound desired.

This channel’s 1/4-inch input is balanced (T.R.S. or Tip/Ring/Sleeve, +/-/gnd). The phone jack can also use regular unbalanced cables. For best results, and reduced noise, it is advised that you use balanced (stereo) cables for interconnection wherever possible.

Do Not use both the phone and XLR inputs on Channel 2 at the same time.• The signals will be attenuated!

Channel 2

Channel 2 - This channel is optimized for line level signals such as an electronic key- board, CD-players, cassette decks, or other audio sources. The channel also sums stereo signals properly for use with this single amplifier system. You can utilize this feature either by using the two phone jacks or the two RCA jacks (both sets of jacks can be used at the same time). Adjust the Channel 2 volume control for the level of sound desired.

Tone Controls

The LOW and HIGH controls allow a wide range of tonal adjustment. The tone controls affect the sound output from both channels. Increase or decrease the LOW control to affect low frequency information and the HIGH control for high frequency information.

Please note: Due to the great variance between possible signal sources, it may be possible to

distort the signal by adjusting the LOW or HIGH controls.

50KB, 50KW specifications

Yorkville Sound has long been recognized as a leader in professional audio equipment, and their 50KW and 50KB models stand as testaments to the company’s dedication to high-performance audio solutions. Designed for both live sound and studio applications, these powerful amplifiers are notable for their robust features, advanced technologies, and exceptional sound quality.

The 50KW is a powerful 50,000-watt amplifier that caters to the needs of concert venues, stadiums, and large-scale events. With its Class D architecture, this amplifier provides not only efficient power supply but also reduced weight and size, making it easier to transport and set up for gigs. The 50KW features a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz, ensuring that audio engineers capture every nuance of the sound spectrum. Furthermore, the built-in DSP (Digital Signal Processing) allows users to customize the audio output, providing options for equalization, limiting, and crossover settings, which can be particularly beneficial in challenging acoustic environments.

On the other hand, the 50KB is designed for less demanding yet equally important applications, including smaller venues and mobile events. This amplifier, rated at 50 watts, is an ideal choice for musicians and bands seeking reliable amplification without the bulk of larger systems. The 50KB offers a highly efficient design that does not compromise on sound integrity. Its lightweight and compact form factor makes it easily transportable, providing convenience without sacrificing performance.

Both models offer unique connectivity options, including multiple input channels, allowing seamless integration with various sound sources. Moreover, protective features such as over-temperature and short-circuit protection ensure reliability during operation, further solidifying Yorkville Sound’s reputation for manufacturing durable products.

In terms of aesthetics, both models boast a sleek and professional look, fitting seamlessly into any stage or studio setting. With their commitment to innovation and audio excellence, Yorkville Sound’s 50KW and 50KB amplifiers continue to meet the diverse needs of audio professionals around the world. Whether for a grand concert or an intimate performance, these amplifiers are designed to deliver the powerful, clear sound that audiences demand, enhancing the experience for both performers and listeners alike.
