Effects Loop

The EFFECTS LOOP can be used to insert signals from external sources such as a Digital Effects Unit or Equalizer into the signal path. The loop is inserted after the tone and vol- ume controls. To use the EFFECTS LOOP connect the EFX SEND jack to the input of the equalizer or effects unit. Connect the output of the equalizer or effects unit to the EFX RTN jack to complete the loop.

Linking Together Multiple Wedges

When the Yorkville 50KB/KW is used with a line level input for stage monitor purposes, it’s possible to link together several units by using the inputs on Channel 2. Insert the mixed signal from a mixing console into either of the two phone jacks (on Channel 2). It is possible to use the remaining phone jack input on Channel 2 as an output to link to another Yorkville 50KB/KW.

Please note: that only information being sent to the input of Channel 2 will be linked.

Phones

Headphones can be connected to the Yorkville 50KB/KW by inserting a headphone plug into the PHONES jack located on the front panel. While headphones are connected, the internal speaker is disconnected. Always use stereo headphones. The audio heard through stereo headphones will be a mono signal separated into the two earpieces.

Caution: Always exercise caution when using headphones to avoid permanent hearing loss.

Power Switch

When the Yorkville 50KB/KW is turned on, the LED beside the power switch will be illuminated.

50KB, 50KW specifications

Yorkville Sound has long been recognized as a leader in professional audio equipment, and their 50KW and 50KB models stand as testaments to the company’s dedication to high-performance audio solutions. Designed for both live sound and studio applications, these powerful amplifiers are notable for their robust features, advanced technologies, and exceptional sound quality.

The 50KW is a powerful 50,000-watt amplifier that caters to the needs of concert venues, stadiums, and large-scale events. With its Class D architecture, this amplifier provides not only efficient power supply but also reduced weight and size, making it easier to transport and set up for gigs. The 50KW features a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz, ensuring that audio engineers capture every nuance of the sound spectrum. Furthermore, the built-in DSP (Digital Signal Processing) allows users to customize the audio output, providing options for equalization, limiting, and crossover settings, which can be particularly beneficial in challenging acoustic environments.

On the other hand, the 50KB is designed for less demanding yet equally important applications, including smaller venues and mobile events. This amplifier, rated at 50 watts, is an ideal choice for musicians and bands seeking reliable amplification without the bulk of larger systems. The 50KB offers a highly efficient design that does not compromise on sound integrity. Its lightweight and compact form factor makes it easily transportable, providing convenience without sacrificing performance.

Both models offer unique connectivity options, including multiple input channels, allowing seamless integration with various sound sources. Moreover, protective features such as over-temperature and short-circuit protection ensure reliability during operation, further solidifying Yorkville Sound’s reputation for manufacturing durable products.

In terms of aesthetics, both models boast a sleek and professional look, fitting seamlessly into any stage or studio setting. With their commitment to innovation and audio excellence, Yorkville Sound’s 50KW and 50KB amplifiers continue to meet the diverse needs of audio professionals around the world. Whether for a grand concert or an intimate performance, these amplifiers are designed to deliver the powerful, clear sound that audiences demand, enhancing the experience for both performers and listeners alike.
