RFC は、インターネット環境で使用される Request For Comments を表しま す。

AP データベースは、PPP インターフェース上で MU AP を動的に追跡 します。パケットは、宛先を AP によって決定された後に PPP リンクに転 送されます。

AP にインプリメントされた PPP は、「RFC 1220: PPP Extensions for

Bridging」に規定されているように、NCP を使用してイーサネット・レベ ルでパケットをカプセル化します。PPP は、RFC 1172 および MAC レベ ル・ブリッジングに規定されているように、IP ブリッジング制御を行いま す。PPP は、RFC 1661 に準拠する PPP ネゴシエーションをサポートして います。AP のシリアル・ポートには、AP 以外のノードを直接接続するこ とはできません。AP AP PPP のみが接続可能です。
