LUBRICATION

The oil level should be between the markings on the dipstick. If the level is approaching the “ADD” mark, add the oil to the “FULL” mark on the dipstick.

Never fill above the “FULL” mark.

The oil is topped off through the dipstick hole.

Use engine oil SAE 30 or SAE 10W-30 or,

alternately, 10W/40, class CF - 4, CI - 4 (over

 

0 °C/+32 °F).

 

Over +20 °C/+68 °F SAE 40 can be used.

 

Use engine oil SAE 5W-20, class CF - 4, CI - 4

 

(under 0 °C/+32 °F).

 

The engine holds 3.5 quarts of oil including the

 

filter.

4. Throttle Cable, Lever Bearings

Lubricate the cable ends by the lever with an oil can. Move the controls to the end points and lubricate again.

The throttle cable is also lubricated by the control when the control console is removed.
