A low-kickback saw chain should always be used in conjunction with other kickback protection devices such as the Hand Guard furnished with your unit.
Always use a replacement saw chain designed as “low-kickback” or a saw chain which meets the low-kickback per- formance.
A standard saw chain (a chain which does not have the kickback reducing guard links) should only be used by an experienced professional chain saw operator.
What is a Low-Kickback Saw Chain?
A low-kickback saw chain is a chain which has met the kickback performance requirements of ANSI B175.1.
By keeping the saw chain in good working condition and correctly serviced as recommended in this manual, you will be able to maintain the safety system of your chain saw over the life of the product.
WARNING
Never remove, modify or make inoperative any safety device furnished with your unit. The Hand Guard and low-kick- back saw chain are major safety features provided for your protection.
WARNING
Always wear heavy duty protection work gloves and disconnect the extension cord when working on the saw chain.
Une chaîne de sécurité doit toujours être utilisée en conjonction avec d’autres dispositifs de sécurité tels et l’Arceau Protecteur fournis avec la tronçonneuse.
Utiliser toujours une chaîne de rechange conçue pour réduire les rebonds ou une chaîne qui rébond aux normes de ANSI (L’Institut des Standards Nationaux Américains).
Une chaîne standard de tronçonneuse (c’est à dire une chaîne ne possédant pas de maillons de protection réduisant les rebonds) ne doit être utilisée que par des professionnels du métier.
Qu’est-ce qu’une chaîne «à rebonds réduits»?
Une chaîne à rebonds réduits est une chaîne dont la performance répond aux normes requises par ANSI B175.1. Maintenir la chaîne de la tronçonneuse en bon état de fonctionnement et les entretenir correctement comme indiqué dans ce manuel, vous permettra de garder le système de sécurité aussi longtemps que votre outil.

Ne jamais enlever, modifier ou rendre inutilisable tout dispositif de sécurité fourni avec l’appareil. Arceau Protecteur et la chaîne de sécurité (rebonds réduits) de la tronçonneuse sont des dispositifs de sécurité primordiaux, présents pour votre protection.

Siempre utilice cadenas para sierras de reemplazo designadas como “contragolpe bajo” o una cadena para sierra que reúna los requisitos de rendimiento del contragolpe de la ANSI (Instituto Nacional Americano de Normas).
Una cadena para sierra convencional (una cadena que no tiene los eslabones de resguardo para reducir el con- tragolpe) solamente deberá ser utilizado por un operador de sierras de cadena profesional experimentado.
