7.Install the new chevron belt on the right-hand sprocket and make sure that the belt is properly seated in the chevron of the sprocket.

8.Refer to Figure 42. Align the holes in the sprockets with the spindle mounting hardware as shown. The blades will be perpendicular to each other.

9.Install the new chevron belt on the left-hand sprocket and make sure that the belt is properly seated in the chevron of the sprocket.

10.Carefully rotate the breaker bar CLOCKWISE and install the deck drive belt on the stationary idler pulley (D, Figure 41). Carefully release the tension on the breaker bar. When the idler arm is released it will position the stationary idler pulley and the chevron belt idler pulley (B & C, Figure 40) in the correct position.

11.Tighten the hardware that secures the stationary idler pulley and the chevron belt idler pulley to the cutter deck.

12.Reinstall the mower deck guards.

13.Run the mower under no-load condition for about 5 minutes to break-in the new belt.
