b.The CD-RW5000 incorporates an automatic sampling frequency convertor to convert input to 44.1 kHz. However, the following should be noted. The sampling frequency convertor is

activated when the sampling frequency falls outside 44.1 kHz (to a tolerance of ±100ppm).

If the input signal suffers from jitter, and “drifts” around the nominal 44.1 kHz fre- quency, the sampling frequency convertor will keep engaging and disengaging, producing audible noise in the recording.
