The operation of any snow thrower can result in foreign objects being thrown into the eyes, which can result in se- vere eye damage. Always wear safety glasses or eye shields while operating the snow thrower.

TO STOP YOUR
SNOW THROWER
1.To stop throwing snow, release the auger drive lever. See Figure 3.

2.To stop the engine, move the igni- tion lever to the off position.
TO CONTROL SNOW DISCHARGE
1.Turn the chute control red to set the direction of the snow throwing.
2.Loosen the wing knob on the chute deflector and move the deflector to set the distance. Move the deflector (Up) for more distance, (Down) for less distance. Then tighten the wing knob (See Figure 4).

HOW TO MOVE FORWARD
1.Hold the auger drive lever against the handle (See Figure 5). The au- ger will begin rotating.
2.To go forward, raise the handle to allow the rubber auger blades to
contact the ground. Maintain a firm hold on the handle as the snow thrower starts to move forward.
Guide the snow thrower by moving the handle either left or right. Do
not attempt to push the snow threw-
er.
3.Tostop, releasethe augerdrivele- ver.
