Note: Do not move the computer while the optical drive is working. The optical drive indicator located beside the drive eject button will show the optical drive in working status.

Caution: The Slot‐in ODD drive does not support 8 cm CD/DVD disk. When the ODD drive is Slot‐in kind, don’t use 8 cm CD/DVD disk.

2.1 Setup and maintain the computer

2.1.1Power management

The notebook computer has a series of automatic adjustable power‐saving facilities called power management. Power management will try to change some system components from high power consumption to lower level and ensure the computer operates at higher performance and lower power consumption. This computer has build‐in power management. It can force the computer into standby and hibernation mode under pre‐defined conditions. Using the power management properly can extend the battery’s operating time.

This computer supports the ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) power management standard. The operating
