2 CALL PROCEDURE

Distress call/Regular operation

tLift up the [DISTRESS] switch cover, pushing and holding

Transmit a distress call after selecting the ‘Distress setting’.

NEVER: USE THE DISTRESS CALL WHEN YOUR SHIP IS NOT IN AN EMERGENCY. DIS- TRESS CALL CAN BE USED ONLY WHEN IM- MEDIATE HELP IS NEEDED.

A DSC channel (ch 70) is auto- matically selected and the dis- tress call is transmitted.

If no GPS is connected, your lo- cation and UTC time should be input.
