Connecting Servers to the Rack-Mount Console KVM Switch (USB Connection)

Step 1

Using the OmniView ENTERPRISE Dual-Port Micro-Cabling (part number F1D9401-XX, USB style), connect the high-density, 50-pin, SCSI 2-style connector to a free Rack-Mount Console KVM Switch port, starting with the port for the first two servers. (For best results, screw the connectors into the Rack-Mount Console KVM Switch and the server, when possible.)

Step 2

Connect the USB connector of your Micro-Cabling to the server. If your server is running Windows Me or newer, skip to Step 5; otherwise, continue with Step 3.

Step 3

Boot up the server you wish to connect via USB, as you would normally, with the keyboard, mouse, and monitor connected directly to the server.
